The pursuit of happiness is an exciting adventure, inseparably accompanied by the flip side of pain, suffering, and loss. And, we wonder, what is the end of all my striving? Is lasting happiness a dream? Is there such a thing as “true happiness”? Paramhansa Yogananda offers an important insight into our search for happiness – He said, “You will never be happy so long as you think something outside of you is going to bring you happiness.”

In this simple line, we have a teaching that can change the course of our life.

We will explore:

  • Goal of Life – Seeking happiness, avoiding pain
  • Fleeting Pleasure vs Lasting Happiness? Is lasting Happiness possible?
  • Pleasure is counterfeit happiness
  • Are we looking for happiness in the right place?
  • Can happiness be found in possessions, people, or circumstances?
  • Circumstances are neutral
  • 4 stages of happiness
  • Practical techniques to be happy at Will in body, mind, and soul
  • Essential attitudes for a happy life
  • The wisdom way to happiness

Retreat Weekend will include:

This retreat is based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, the great Indian Yoga Master and author of the best-selling spiritual classic ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’.

About the Presenters:

Nayaswamis Jaya and Sadhana Devi: Nayaswami Jaya Helin is the spiritual director of Ananda Sangha India. He and his wife, Sadhana Devi have been practicing and sharing the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda for nearly 50 years. Both of them are profound teachers and spiritual counsellors and speak with deep wisdom, clarity and wit. They share their time between India and the U.S and travel around the world sharing the practical and transforming teachings of yoga and meditation.

Brahmachari (Dr.) Aditya Gait: Aditya Kumar Gait is the Spiritual Director of Ananda Pune and a Medical Practitioner, whose chief interests lie in sharing the teachings and benefits of yoga as a healthy and successful way of life. Aditya has been actively sharing these teachings in corporates, medical facilities and other institutions across India, Asia, and Europe since 2008.

Gaurav Prashar: Gaurav is a graduate in business administration from the Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune. He currently manages the India-wide accounting operations for Ananda Sangha. Gaurav has been practicing these teachings from an early age and enjoys sharing them with all.

Retreat Rates: Rs 6,000 per person from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon which includes stay, meals and all programs.
