Ananda Yoga Retreat is an integral part of the Ananda Kriya Yogashram Community. It provides a place for guests from all over the world to come and experience the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and his direct disciple, Swami Kriyananda. We follow and share a non-sectarian approach to yoga . The ancient science of yoga and meditation, made practical and applicable to daily life, is manifest in living form in our community life.
Open to visitors every day of the year, guests participate in a variety of weekend, week-long and month-long programs. They are also welcome to join in the daily life of the residents, by being part of our “Karma Yoga” programme devoting a few hours each day to service projects. For those desiring it, complete seclusion can be arranged.
Retreat accommodations include private cabins, dormitories, and, in dry weather, tents as well. Vegetarian meals are served in a central dining area. Spiritual activities and classes are held in an indoor meditation hall, or the open-sided Meditation Mandir.
